    • Flex-Tech one gallon adhesive is a clear set, solvent free, pressure sensitive adhesive made for the interior installation of IVC fiberglass sheet goods over approved substrates. This adhesive is formulated to be fast drying for quick installation. Flooring can be installed up to 24 hours after initial drying if the area remains dust and dirt free. FLEX-TECH is a solvent-free, low-odor adhesive that meets all Federal, State, and local government indoor air quality regulations.

FLEX-TECH can be used over the following -above, on, or below grade concrete in the absence of excessive moisture and alkalinity; wood underlayment (Wood underlayment panels must be underlayment grade as specified and warranted by the manufacturer.); VCT (well bonded); ceramic (well bonded); terrazzo (well bonded); self-leveling and patching compounds (Portland cement based only); resilient floor (no more than 2 layers, well bonded, non-cushioned); radiant heat floors (not exceeding 85?F). Moisture levels of concrete slabs must be 5 lbs. or less per 1000 square feet per 24 hours using an anhydrous calcium chloride test according to ASTM F-1869, and pH must be between 5 and 9; or, if using ASTM F-2170 In-Situ Probes should be less than 75% relative humidity.
    Installation Note
Adhesive must be completely dry before laying flooring. Dry time will vary with fluctuations of temperature and humidity or porosity of the substrate. Adhesives applied over non-porous substrates require extended drying time.
Floor must be clean, smooth, flat and dry. Remove all foreign substances such as wax, grease, dirt and any substance or chemical that would interfere with a good bond. Fill all holes and cracks with a cement based patching compound. Sand high spots to eliminate the possibility of telegraphing. Prime floor if needed to prevent over absorption of adhesives, contain dust, to ensure a better bond of the adhesive to the subfloor, and over gypcrete subfloor with FLEX-PRIM Acrylic Latex Primer. The adhesive, floor covering, and area to receive resilient flooring must be maintained at a temperature of 65? to 95?F (18? to 35?C) and at a relative humidity of 30% to 60% for 72 hours before, during, and after installation. Follow IVC's guidelines regarding site conditions and installation.
A smooth surface paint roller up to a 3/16" nap is recommended. Coverage over porous substrates is up to 350 sq. ft./gal. Coverage over non-porous substrates is up to 400 sq. ft./gal.
Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on porosity of substrate and the amount of adhesive applied.
    1. Apply adhesive with 3/8" short nap paint roller to approved substrate.
    2. Allow adhesive to dry to the point where it will not transfer to the fingers when pressed.
    3. Lay flooring according to IVC's recommendations. Adhesive will remain tacky up to 24 hours in a clean dust free environment.
    4. Once flooring has been installed, start from the center of the floor to remove air from under material using a push broom (?broom method?). DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF FLOORING ROLLER, I.E., 75 OR 100 POUND.
    5. Use soap and water to clean up while adhesive is still wet. If dried, use an approved adhesive remover or stripper.
Restrict heavy traffic on floor for 48 hours after installation.

Non-flammable Meets NFPA Class A and UBC Class 1 as determined by ASTM E-84 and also passes the Pill Test.
Freeze/thaw stable to 10? F. While this adhesive is freeze/thaw stable, it is still necessary to protect from freezing. Multiple freeze/thaw cycles below 10? F may irreversibly damage the adhesive. Contains anti-microbial agents that will provide its dry film with protection from fungal growth. This protection is determined using the ASTM G21 test method.
