The award from St. Jude recognizes a corporate partner who has implemented a successful proprietary campaign in addition to their primary means of support for the hospital. Shaw\u2019s efforts around the cushion padding and carpet collections are some of the proprietary campaigns that inspired the hospital\u2019s selection for the award.<\/p><p>St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital focuses on its mission: finding cures and saving children. Most of the funding for St. Jude comes from individual contributions, so St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most \u2013 saving children.<\/p><h3>The Beginning of The Sponsorship<\/h3><p>In 2012, Shaw Carpet started as a single sponsorship of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, which has grown into a multi-channel partnership that reaches virtually every aspect of Shaw\u2019s business. Here are some of the elements that Shaw\u2019s partnership with St. Jude consists of:<\/p><ul>\n<li>Carpet padding from Shaw Industries that began with two styles and now has seven styles that benefit St. Jude.<\/li>\n<li>Shaw is a gold level sponsor of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend where Shaw associates come together to fund-raise and run.<\/li>\n<li>Shaw Carpet is a silver level sponsor of the St. Jude Walk\/Run to End Childhood Cancer where Shaw retailers and associates across the country participate in the 62-city run\/walk and fund-raise.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>Shaw has donated over $6.4 million to St. Jude.
