This was the 10th consecutive year we showed and also our best. The enthusiasm builders showed toward our floor covering products and prices would make you think we were in a building-boom instead of a nation wide housing slump.<\/p><p class=\"style3\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/hardwood.htm\">Hardwood Flooring<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/laminates\/laminates.htm\">laminate<\/a> were our most requested products, but our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/carpet\/carpet.htm\">carpet<\/a> programs and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/specials.htm\">specials<\/a> were also well received. Many builders looking for engineered hardwood could not believe we were selling <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/turlington-special.html\">Bruce\u2019s 3\u2033 Turlington CW at $1.59 sq. ft.<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/bruce_lock-and-fold.html\">Bruce 5\u2033 Lock &amp; Fold CW at $1.99 sq. ft.<\/a> WOW! We had never seen this much excitement or had so many orders placed on the spot at the show.<\/p><p class=\"style3\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/images\/buildershow\/CEX-staff-booth.JPG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Hardwood Flooring, Laminate Flooring, and Carpet were our featured programs at the Carpet Express booth at the 2008 International Builders Show\" src=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/images\/buildershow\/thumbs\/CEX-staff-booth_thumb.JPG\" width=\"308\" height=\"231\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"3\"><\/a>Our nail down strip, plank, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/exoticwoodcolors.html\">exotics<\/a> were also very popular. The 3\/4\u2033 solid <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/exoticwoodcolors.html\">Brazilian Cherry<\/a>, 3\/4\u2033 solid <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/mullican_new-river_hickory-saddle.html\">Hickory<\/a>, and 3\/4\u2033 solid oak <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/handscraped-hardwood-specials.html\">hand scraped<\/a> ranging from $3.99 to $4.99 sq. ft. were a big hit. These season builders understood a tremendous value when they saw it.<\/p><p class=\"style3\">Beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/products\/hardwood\/hardwood.htm\">hardwood flooring<\/a> in-stock and ready to ship to your building site is a great way to make a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpetexpress.com\/services\/testimonials.htm\">happy customer<\/a>. As one builder said, \u201cWe\u2019re going to be doing a lot of business for a long time, and I\u2019m not just blowing smoke. With the \u201cDaytona 500\u201d only three days away and 45 minutes from the convention center, many drivers visited their sponsors\u2019 booths at the show. Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart all drew huge crowds. The floor covering business was great, but it is always fun to take a little time to enjoy the show.<\/p><p class=\"style3\">If you\u2019ve never visited the International Builders\u2019 Show, you should.
