Daltile and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation announced that Jessica Sapinoso is the winner of the third annual Daltile Interior Design Scholarship. Sapinoso was the grand prize winner, and she received a $10,000 scholarship at NeoCon 2014. The scholarship will help her continue her education in the field of interior design. Her winning design was on display at NeoCon 2014, and Jessica was Daltile\u2019s guest of honor. The first, second, and third prize winners received a $2,5000 scholarship. Ten merit winners received a $1,000 scholarship. Overall, a total of $27,5000 in scholarships were awarded.<\/p>
The design challenge, which was called Operation Renovation, was to transform an old space that really needs to be renovated. In today\u2019s marketplace, renovations and remodels are common, and a remodel is a great chance for interior designers to shine. This challenge also provides a real world design experience for the interior design students. The design entries were judged on the space\u2019s function, aesthetic, and creative use of Daltile\u2019s newest product offerings, which brought the students\u2019 visions to life.<\/p>
